Description

cfa piling

Installation of 600mm dia bearing piles at Greenwich High Road for a development of affordable housing. Site constraints meant the piling rig had to work almost perpendicular to the Docklands Light Railway, with service cranes having to stay parallel to the rails. Undertaking this working procedure relied on good co-ordination and clear piling areas.

Over 800 piles were installed at different piling levels across the site, designed by Tritech's internal design office. Test piles were undertaken to verify the design with pile settlements no greater than 5mm.

Reinforcement cages were prefabricated and we used dummy cages to the upper pile length to save costs to redundant cages in the cast pile to be trimmed later.
