Project
Retaining wall for new highway improvements for Stockport MBC

Description

Due to the tight working area adjacent to the existing live carriageway, including varied site restrictions, access issues, ground conditions etc, the steel sheet piles were installed using a WP150 Tosa Pile Press and 30T Telescopic Crawler Crane.

We installed 200 linear metres of 7.5M to 14.5M long PU32 piles to complete the works.

The retaining wall was installed along side the existing carriageway and capped off with concrete capping beams, when this was completed the road was widened creating the new highway improvements needed for Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council.

The project was done over a 5 week period, with a contract value of £500K
