Open Faced Tunnelling Projects

A E Yates Trenchless Solutions Ltd has undertaken open faced tunneling machine work from 1200mm ID pipe to 1800mm ID pipe on numerous occasions thus giving clients a low cost alternative to full faced microtunnelling machines as and when ground conditions are suitable. This range of diameters enables us to economically install this type of pipe jacking technique whilst operating within the PJA/HSE design guidelines.

These tunnels have been undertaken in ground conditions from soft clays to weak mudstone. The list below is a selection of some of the Open Faced Tunnelling projects carried out by A E Yates Trenchless Solutions Ltd. These projects have made use of our 4 open faced tunneling systems.
