Culvert Refurbishment and Replacement

We have undertaken numerous culvert refurbishment and replacement contracts for both public and private customers, using various techniques and methods to provide a high quality durable and robust asset.

The exiting culverts we have worked in have been in poor conditions and sometimes fully collapsed, thus restricting the passage of the water they convey, which often requires very prompt action on our behalf to prevent worsening. We have vast experience in both on and off line solutions.

As you would expect, the materials, sizes and techniques used to construct the existing culverts vary greatly and include steel beams, brickwork, random masonry, clay and concrete pipes. These variable features make this type of work very interesting and challenging which is a situation we particularly enjoy and are adept at dealing with.

The services we offer for culvert refurbishment and replacement are tailored to suit our customers' requirements and cover the full range of possibilities from small man entry pointing works to turn key design and construct packages.

The techniques we have utilised have included de-silting, patch pointing, brick and stone replacement, spayed concrete lining, GRP liners, pipe jacking using concrete, clay, GRP and steel pipes and timber headings.

Whether we are appointed as Principal Contractor or Specialist Subcontractor our managerial, supervisory, technical and operational staff competently manage all the aspects of the each individual contract in respect of health and safety, quality, environmental, progress, programme and commercial.
