AEYTS June's Update

M203 Colchester

Construction of the drive and reception shafts for the scheme is almost complete. 2 sections of auger bored foul sewers (using the BM400 front steer machine) and 2 sections of surface water sewers (using the BM600 auger bore) have been completed in accordance with the revised programme. Due to design changes, 5 sections of the surface water sewer will be constructed using a TBM instead of the BM600. The Soltau 1000 has completed the drives from SW40 to SW50 and SW40 to SW96.

M204 Whitmore Culvert

This scheme has been put on the "back burner" by Network Rail.

M207 Rossendale

Construction of a 1200mm hand drive and an associated intermediate shaft (which form part of a flood alleviation scheme being constructed by AEY Ltd) commenced 28 April 2014. The first hand drive from shaft 1 to shaft 2 will be completed this week.

M208 Grouting

A programme of short term grouting works, to seal the outer annulus of gas pipes at several key crossings located around the North of England is on-going.

M209 Fleetwood

Jet grouting works to condition the ground for the construction of 2 tunnels between 2 large storage tanks at Fleetwood WTW will commence 23 June 14.

M210 Heysham

Works to construct 4 shafts, forming part of the foundations for a bridge will commence 9 June 2014.

M211 The Winnings

The Contract to undertake the repairs of an existing culvert works will commence shortly.
