Tunnelling Update

M191 Portsmouth. Construction of the 12m shaft at Copnor Road is progressing well. Currently the shaft has been sunk to 9 metres. M193 Pollard St, Manchester. Sheeted pits have been constructed at MH1, MH3 and MH4. The new permanent pipe has been installed between MH4 and MH3 and the pilot bore has been completed between MH3 and MH1. Tunnelling Works Update

  M191 Portsmouth. The 12m shaft at Gruneisen Road and the 600mm auger bore to Honeywood Close are complete. The Main Contractor postponed the start of shaft sinking at Copnor Road until 4 July 2013; the sinking of a 12m shaft has now commenced. M193 Pollard St, Manchester. Works commenced 17 June 2013. Currently sheeted pits have been constructed at MH3 and MH4 (in the middle of Great Ancoats) and we have commenced pilot boring between the shafts. Construction of MH1 will commence 8 July 2013.
