Horizontal Directional Drilling at Kersey

Horizontal Directional Drilling works of 2500m of 225mm main at Kersey has been completed two days ahead of schedule. The pipes are being pressure tested, swabbed and chlorinated ready for sampling. The final ten connections and decommissioning of old main should be completed in the next two weeks. Works commenced mid Jan and despite the bad weather, snow and rain, the works should be completed well within the contract schedule. more

AEY Group Sponsor West Bank Bears U13's Rugby Team

AEY Group have very kindly agreed to sponsor West Bank Bears U13's Rugby team . West Bank Bears current U13's have been in existent since 2008. Formed as the Bears new unders 8's team, it consisted of 7 year 4's from around the local area. Fast forward to 2013 and the team not consists of 21 players, from all round Halton, Liverpool, Halewood and Warrington. Update on Walbottle - M186

After completing the soil stabilisation process using a combination of polyurethane resin and acrylic grout and setting up the jacking equipment the hand shield was ready for launch. The shield was fabricated in house at our head office depot in Bolton along with the jacking rig modifications to suit the specific geometry of the job. As we were already undertaking hydro demolition to remove part of the shaft collar we employed the same method to cut the segmental shaft linings to provide the exit eye, resulting in greatly reduced HAVS exposure for the operatives.
