Description

CMF with the Highways Agency

Contract under CMF (Construction Management Partnering Framework) Contract with the HA for General Civil Engineering works in HA Area 10. The works involve the installation of a new petrol interceptor within a sheet piled cofferdam, associated drainage and landscaping works on the clockwise side of the M60 between Junction 22 and 23 at the base of the existing embankment. These works replace / supplement the existing interceptor and surface water drainage systems. A large part of the scheme revolved around temporary works which include a 70m long sheet piled retaining wall to enable construction of a piling platform for the installation of the 20m long x 12m wide x 12m deep sheet piled cofferdam.

The sheet piling works being undertaken by AEY subsidiary company Steel Pile Installations Ltd.


Other works include the construction of 4No. new 10m deep shafts (5m and 3m diameter) and 5No. 1200mm diameter tunnels.
