AEY Quarterly H&S Award - Bolton Armed Forces Centre

AEY's Gary Reeves and his site at Raikes Lane in Bolton are the winners of the AEY Quarterly H&S Award.

Gary kindly chose Bolton Armed Forces to be the recipient of the £100 winners cheque

Bolton Armed Forces Centre has been set up as part of the Armed Forces Covenant with Bolton Council.  The Armed Forces Covenant sets out the relationship between the nation, the Government and the Armed Forces.  It recognises that the whole nation has a moral obligation to members of the Armed Forces and their families, and it establishes how they should expect to be treated.

The centre has been very successful since it opened a couple of months ago by providing much needed help for the less fortunate of our servicemen old and young.  The centre is a 'one stop shop' for the Job Centre, Mental Health Services, Housing Services and other types of services who have given their time to provide advice, help and support in one location.  They also have sponsors who provide apprenticeship schemes and the opportunity to gain further degree qualifications provided by Bolton University.
