Jubilee Bridge - Work in progress

CECA Project of the Year Award Goes to...

Civil Engineering Contractors Association (CECA) Vision NW and Awards dinner, held at the Manchester Hilton on 20th September 2013:

The Project of the Year Awards: A E Yates, for the Jubilee Bridge Refurbishment project for Tameside Council with Wilde Consulting, described by judges as "A very innovative contractor-designed solution where Macrete 'flexi-arches' were used for the first time in a bridge refurbishment and strengthening project. This novel idea provided a quick and elegant solution which allowed Wilshaw and Wood Lane to remain open for the majority of the project period."

Paul Boron, Managing Director and Group Chief Executive proudly collected the award on behalf of A E Yates and stated "How delighted he was that collaborative innovation and co-operation between A E Yates, the designer Wilde Consulting and the specialist supplier had resulted in a first class value added scheme for our client, Tameside, and had been suitably recognised and rewarded by our fellow contractors."
