Th contract was awarded by Cheshire West and Chester Council and completed in June this year.

The completion of the Deva Link Cycleway Extension in Chester provides a direct link between three popular routes, the Deva Link shared use path, the Millennium Greenway and the Shropshire Union Canal Towpath, adding significantly to the cycle amenity.

A significant challenge during the construction phase that was accommodated was the prestigious Chester Marathon annually run on the route.
