Company History

A E Yates was established in 1870 as a public works contractor. Shortly after WWII the company was acquired by the Whitehead family and was incorporated in 1946.

Under continuous family ownership the company has grown and developed to be an established Civil Engineering Company with a first class reputation both regionally and nationally.

We have very many years experience of successfully completing Roadworks, Bridgeworks, Main Drainage, River/Canal Works, Utility Installations, Development Infrastructure, Public Realm Works and Environmental Improvements.

Our Head Office is based in Lostock, Bolton and we have a Southern Regional Office in Bedford.
